MFP: Multifunction Printer or Peripheral

Multifunction Printers  or Peripherals tend to offer high speed printing and scanning along with the fax and photocopy functions. They work with cloud or networked document storage and retrieval software and offer advanced security functions which are necessary in the medical and legal fields. While color laser printing is common, some MFP’s are dedicated to black & white printing for businesses where color is rarely needed. MFP’s are typically laser printers although some fixed-head inkjet machines are currently on the market.
